I have a little girl, she has just turned 9 months old and has barely reached 3#. She takes after her father's line and they stop growing between 6 and 7 months old. I have recently changed dog food and am very pleased that they seem to be putting on a little weight. I have tried soooooooo many different foods and they have not gained. The father of this little girl has weighed 3# 12ozs since he was 7 months old. He weighed 4# yesterday. He is still skinny but I'm so very happy to have those 4 ozs on him. Now I only have to worry that they don't start to get over weight.
My little girl, Jewel, weighed 1#10ozs at 11 weeks. When you want to try to figure out the predicted size of your baby you need to consider the parents sizes and possibly the grandparents sizes. Jewel has 3 brothers, two weigh 4#2ozs where they used to weigh 3#12ozs steadily before I changed their food. The other brother is from her mother's side of the family at his last weigh in he weighed 5#6ozs.
Their mother is 6#12ozs, so you can see a big difference there in the size of one litter. 3# to over 5#. Sylvia
