No offense taken here, but I blame the vet for the multiple shots in one day. Rabies is an extremely "strong" shot and it is difficult alone, much less when given in combination with others. Most vets now know that is much less stressful on the animal to give just one shot at each visit and to space them out in two to three week increments.
By the way, even though rabies is required by law, there is a great deal of controversy over whether it is really necessary in a lot of areas of the country and for indoor dogs like yorkies in general. There are a lot of breeders In California who do not give their dogs rabies. I do not want to debate that issue here but just thought some of you may want to do your own research. There is a lot of info on the internet about it. |
