Here's the deal. #1. Animals found injured are more likely to be given life-saving medical care if they're wearing a license. Answer: Will not the microchip tag and the AKC tag accomplish the same goal?
#2. License fees help increase the shelter's pet-adoption work. Answer. I would prefer to donate my money to a no kill shelter of my choosing.
#3. Lost pets are more likely to be returned to their owners. See my answer for number 1!
