My mentor, whose stud I currently use with my bitches, plans to retire him in a year or so, at the age of 5-6. Therefore, I am going to need to find another stud worthy of breeding with my girls.
What is the best way of going about this? Experienced breeders (those who do not own your own studs), how have you done this? Place an ad? It scares me to go to someone I don't know, since I've known my mentor for so many years, and have so much confidence in her.
