And, RLC12345678, thanks. I have a canon digital rebel, 6.3 megapixels. It's a little pricy for anybody but a serious amateur or beyond. They've upgraded it a few times since I bought mine, and I think they offer a 10 megapixel version for $900 or so. Its best feature is it uses interchangeable lenses, so count on tossing in another $200-$300 to get a good zoom telephoto.
I've had mine for about three years, and I just turned over the counter at 10,000 photos. I'll bet 9,000 of them were Yorkies, LOL.
