My little girl, Cricket, was just spayed on the 29th of Jan. Her vet let her go home on the same day too. She got her first bath since the surgery today. I
was surprised because I had read on YT how many dogs were back to normal very quickly... but it took Cricket a good 48 hours....she didn't even touch food for the first 24. I had a little "recovery area" set up on the bed w/ a heating pad turned on low and her blanket on top of that. She slept there on & off for the first day...she couldn't even use her little doggie ramp. She would whimper and I would let her down to get her water and go potty. She was really out of it. I hate to say this but on day 2, I used her sleepiness as an opportunity to gently comb out some little knots on her legs
....she slept right through!!!! She hates being combed and brushed...
