My dog Lucy experienced this same problem when she went into her first heat cycle. I took her to the vet and found out she had demodectic (?) mange. They said hair loss on the nose is the first sign. She had bad bloodlines and it was passed down that way. It is not contagious. I am not saying that is what your baby has. Lucy kept itching constantly and got a bald spot on her side. It was expensive to treat. Hopefully it is an allergy. Just thought I would let you know what I experienced.
