Has anyone used the kwik sew pattern number 3076

Was wondering since it calls for the stretch knits, if in using regular cotton fabric instead of the stretch knits by going up to the next size would be able to get an okay fit? I really like the View D style for jammies but was wanting to make them in a cotton. Appreciate hearing from others that might know on this. So sad to hear our Hancock Fabric Store is closing, they are the only store that has the knitted ribbing that I like using for the bands on things. I was so happy to see they had this Kwik Sew Pattern. Shadow if you read this I think the view A is what you were looking for in making a vest.
