After I got my second female yorkie, I read in many places that you should get yorkies of the opposite sex. My two had problems at first because of territorial issues, but now love each other so much.
About the barking, I had one of my yorkies stay with a friend who has three yorkies for a week when I had to go away. Two of the three at my friend's house barked constantly. I was so worried that my dog would pick up the habit, but she didn't. Also, there are a lot of things you can do to correct barking, including using a spray bottle.
I love having two, they keep each other company, so it's much easier for me to leave them alone during the day without feeling guilty. |
