Sweetup&down, I'm going on some assumptions here..the only thing I can offer as a outsider is you need a final conversation w/ him . No crying..no guilt.. just a frank & honest talk... I think you two are very young & if he has not been on his own before or lived w/ you before, the reality of what's about to happen could be to much for him to handle.Just maybe he's afraid of the big "C" word (commitment).Life as you two know it will change...bills, responsibility, accountability to each other, sacrifices,
& a loss of some privacy.. etc.etc...That's some pretty scary stuff.

I'm not excusing his behavior, that text was not the way to end a relationship.
But you do need some clarification so you can at least have a better understanding of what went on....Some times these things happen..but it still hurts like h*ll. Good luck
