I never knew that myself either until I found this site. I love all of the coats especially the ones with poofy, teddy-bear like hair  (I believe they are cottony coats).......
My boy is a silky coat.........very fine, thin, yet glossy and never matts. Now, if only we could have the best of all the coat types 
He is still a pup but this might give you an idea of a silky coat  |
