I might be over-anxious, but I'd rather be safe than sorry...
My boyfriend flies in from California on Sunday. We're picking up Izzie from the breeder on Monday (which is about an hour away.) My boyfriend is flying back to California next Friday. I'm driving him back to the Kansas City airport from Salina (which is about 2 1/2 hours one way.) Normally, I will never be gone this long at one time. Do I risk taking Izzie with us? Or should I just leave her at home since she will just be getting acclimated to her surroundings? My roommate will be leaving to go to work around 5:00 p.m. So, Izzie would be alone from about 5-10:30, depending on which one of us gets home first.
Will she be okay for this long? I just feel bad leaving her alone for so long by herself right away. At the same time, I'm worried that a road trip like that might stress her out.
I know that I won't really know how she reacts until she gets here...but I want to be as prepared as possible.
Thanks for your help!
