Its wasn't a piece of pig ear.....the little monster divoured the whole thing. When he started the pig ear around 3:30 it was a good 3 inches in diameter. When Kelly woke me up at 5 it was gone. Bently doesn't break pieces off he just chews around the pig ear in circles making it smaller and smaller. Usually when it gets the size of a half dollar we take it away from him. I have never seen him destroy one so quickly it usually takes about 8 hours or so to get one chewed up. When I walked into the room grabed him and performed CPR as I would on a baby (angle head downword and patting the back firmly as I learned when I got certified). No result. So then, because he could breathe and had some body functions I gave him a treat to either completly force it into the stomach or move it so it could be regurgitated. Thankfully the later accured. He began to gag again and I took this oppertunity to perform the CPR again and it worked. The first was mostly stomach contents and the two treats. The second was stomach content and what was left of the pig ear about the size of a piece of adult dog food. Then after all this drama the little trooper had to poop. So I took him outside and he did his business. When we returned in the house he played with all of his toys for about 30 minutes....and then passed out where he remains in bed with mommy. And poor Kelly was blaming herself for all of this. Just one of those freak things...she couldn't help it. All I can say from all this is no more pig ears when we aren't watching, and thank God it came out.
