My little guy has very fine hair, im talking fine fine and easily breaks when I brush him. Sometimes Id get chunks of hair and I realized that it was a little mat, very small so I didnt feel it when I brushed it out of him, but sure enough that was why a 'clump' came out. Do you see mats in the brush? You could just be brushing them out and not realizing it.
