Odd pooping behavior I thought I'd post this here since Stitch is neither sick or having an emergency...
I've noticed over the past few days that Stitch has been, well...pooping differently.
(Sorry if this is too much information...)
He'll "assume the position", poop a normal-looking amount, and sniff it, which is normal. But then he'll "assume the position" again for a good minute or so as if he's trying to get the last bit out. Sometimes a little toothpaste-sized bit will come out, sometimes not. But he'll try 2 or 3 times, sometimes for up to a minute.
I don't think he's constipated, because he's going regularly, and his stools are soft and normal-looking. I did try to add psyllium fiber to his breakfast this morning, but he turned up his nose at it and wouldn't eat it. I guess canned pumpkin is next on my list, but I don't want to oversoften things and make a mess.
Any thoughts? Do his anal glands need to be expressed or something? |
