Someone told me that if you give a dog a raw chicken breast every once in a while that it helps to clean their teeth? Has anyone else heard of this?
I'm not sure of this...but this is what my vet told me. He said not to give her anything to "prevent" hypoglycemia unless I see any signs of it. Some very tiny ones that are prone to it may need this, but if you have a average sized healthy dog they don't. He said that if you give her honey or whatnot you are just giving useless calories that will fill her up and keep her from eating her dog food and that is what contains the real nutrition that she needs.

As far as raw chicken...well humans can get sick from raw chicken so it would make sense that dogs could too. But maybe their systems can handle it...I don't know.
