My Yorkie is almost 12 months and only his topknot hair goes long. His breeder told me he had a "hard" silk coat but was slow growing. She lied about everything so guess we must include his coat. I can't cut it, hasn't grown at all. It matts all the time. He's cold and if I put a tee on him, impossible to get the matts on even using Ice On Ice spray. I use CC products but it still doesn't help. I'm sympathize with you.
