Do you know which kind of Solid Gold it is - cause the Wee Bits are the smallest kibble I've seen yet. That is what I use for mine. You can give the adult food (the Wee Bits) to a puppy as long as they are eating good. You really shouldn't give puppy food to an older dog though since it is higher in calories and fat.
If you do transition one or both pups, do it slowly so there are no issues with loose stools. It is much easier to have them both on the same food, then you don't have to worry about who is eating out of a dish!!
As for the skin itchies, are you using a really good quality shampoo? I would try the Shea Pet that Sassypup sells - it is awesome and is an anti-allergy formula, as is the conditioning spray. Good luck!
