What a sad situation!
SOME people just do not deserve the privilage of having pets or kids!
So...how is Lexi now? WAS she in fact sick and does she appear to be fine (other than stressed!) now??
In my "old age" I have the desire more and more to work in an envirement where I am helping or interacting with pets....but my heart would be broken everyday and my house would become a farm, no doubt!!
