Dogs have to be evaluated before they are ready for adoption. They have to make sure that the dog will be good for adoptions, have had vet checks and their spay/neuter surgery. There are thousands of dogs that are euthanized every week...those are not just stray dogs...many are owner release.

I sure read your post wrong - I was thinking they didn't make it into the building because someone saved them. That just isn't right. I know they're overwhelmed but I think exceptions should be made especially when they Knew someone would be coming to get that poor yorkie
