I wish that story had a happy ending, but no, Vee...the owners signed off on the bassets (with the blue eyes)...they didn't want them anymore...wanted them euthanized and they received their shots right on the truck. That's what I meant when I said they never made it inside the building.
Dogs have to be evaluated before they are ready for adoption. They have to make sure that the dog will be good for adoptions, have had vet checks and their spay/neuter surgery. There are thousands of dogs that are euthanized every week...those are not just stray dogs...many are owner release.
