As far as the humane society...if it's an owner release and the owner specifically request euthanization, then they do not have to wait any amount of time. I worked at a humane society YEARS ago and we had an owner release of 3 basset hounds. Owner wanted them to be euthanized. They never made it into the building. |
I just don't get it. WHY would the humane S keep going with a euthanizia IF someone is all ready to take that dog out of there ?? I can't believe what I'm hearing - there is something very wrong if a woman can just REQUEST it - and another woman is there to SAVE THAT DOG and they still wouldn't release her ? That's so NUTS !
So you said the Bassets didn't make it into the building - because someone SAVED them right ?? Once someone relinquishes rights to their dog I would think the Humane Soc. would JUMP on someone stepping in and saving the dog & hand it over no questions asked.
