Thumbs down SELLERs BEWARE!!!!!

Another YT member has been scammed. This person (truereviews) recently sold a dog to someone. The dog was originally bought for breeding but didn't fit standards so she was listed here on YT... http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=64959

After getting this dog on 02/03/07, the buyer started complaining on 02/06/07...3 DAYS. They said that the dog was sickly and claimed to have a vet report to prove it. Even the vet letter which she finally sent in a scanned version after a lot of fussing is a big scam. The vet listed her condition as being "excited". You have to understand that this dog had just traveled over 7 hours and is still nervous about her new environment and is probably scared. She had never been around children and the person that bought her has kids.

The seller's vet examined the dog before leaving and gave her a clean bill of health. After the seller told the vet what was going on, the vet stated that they would be willing to testify that she was 100% healthy before leaving the seller's home.

Then on 02/06/07, the demands started coming. This buyer demanded a full refund of $500 plus $350 from some mysterious vet bill and the gas they spent to drive to get her. They stated that if she didn't immediately refund their money and travel to pick up the dog, they were going to have her euthanized.

There was a contract that was signed. The contract stated that if the dog was to be found sick or they decided they did not want the dog or cannot keep her for any reason, the buyer would have to return the dog with a vets report (if illness was the claim) in order to get the refund.

A lawyer contacted the buyer. She spoke to the buyer and found that she was extremely difficult. She didn't want to listen to anything. She claimed that she was bluffing when she said she would have the dog euthanized.

Yesterday, the buyer claimed that the dog tried to bite one of her children. I wonder what her child did to warrant getting bit. Anyway, this buyer turned her in to the humane society to be euthanized. The lawyer found out about this and immediately called all parties involved. There was a thread started here last night about trying to find transport for Lexie because someone had agreed to take her. However, the humane society would only hold her till the end of today.

The seller was able to find transportation from a family member and arrived at the humane society this morning to retrieve the dog. The humane society refused to release her to the seller and stated that the person that turned her in would have to release the dog to her. After much time and energy spent, Lexie is finally back with Andrea the original seller.

This buyer's user name is sunsoaked5 and her name is Erika Caldwell. I am posting this to warn ALL SELLERS OUT THERE. Do NOT sell to this person. What kind of person makes such outrageous demands and then relinquishes the dog to be euthanized? We constantly have threads that warn buyers about sellers. This time, it's the other way around!
