My guess........if she's eating fine and you are using it as a 'just in case'.......then give her a dab right when you leave. Always leave dry-kibble in her bowl (free feeding) and she should be fine.
If you are worried, consider having someone watch her for a few days and see how she does without it. Or how she does with just the serving you give her when you leave until you come back.
That is the best advice I can give with such little info provided in your posts.
