actually if the pet is travelling in cabin with you, you most likely do not need a health certificate. American Airlines and Northwest do not require them. However, the place you are traveling to may require it, so you'll want to check into that. I've travelled many times with Winnie and have not once been asked to show the health certificate. I always have one just in case though. If the health certificate is required, then it will have to be dated no more than 7 days before the travel date. Make sure you don't sit in the window seat...there's always a draft there. Aisle is usually best. And get your baby used to the carrier you will be using on the plane. Also each airline has specifications for the carriers they will allow, make sure yours complies. They are very strict on this. Good luck in your travels.
