Usually repeating a firm NO, is enough. However you can place one finger over the bridge of the pups nose and very lightly apply a little pressure, again while using a firm NO.Puppies are active and rambunctious and just like children will frequently test the bounderies. Good Luck and Congrats on you new baby! |
An empty paper towl roll works wonders...a gentle "pop" on the head and a stern "NO" ...works wonders...I have a 3 yo old and a 5 month old..both fear the paper towel roll...and best of all it doesnt hurt a bit and the dogs wont fear you..they will fear the roll...Extremly aggressive behavior is NOT common or acceptable for a young yorkie...My dogs love to chew on socks and rope toys..try to divert attention away from your flesh and to a toy...interaction is what the puppy wants...also it is imperitive that you give the pup chew toys to ease his teething pains...JJ likes ice and safe brands of raw hide (be sure to discard when it gets small, so puppy wont try to swallow it)
