they will heal but itself. Tiggy had 3 ticks on her 2 months ago, and I personally know how the sores are like. If you want, you can ask the vet for some ointment/cream to help but like many said just keep it clean and I personally recommend trimming the area around the sore (like a bald spot) so you can visbily see it and no hair obstructs or touches the sore.
