I think if you keep them in the play pen (I got mine from petsmart), with food, water, safe toys and music, with the wright temperature with pad all over, and when you or your wife get home let them out for a bit keeping the eagle eye on them and praise them when they go to the we we pads or outside and removing little by little the pads. It work for me and now Pheobe use one pad per day
. Or if you get a part time baby sis for them (number 2 option, and you and your wife also can take turn to go home from lunch (what ever days are convenient for both) that way the cost for the sis will not be so much.
