My friend had her Bouvier tattooed when he was a pup. The local tattoo artist would come to the vet's office and do it while they were under for neutering or other surgery. Hans' tattoo was on his chest. It was in the shape of a dog bone and it said "Bite Me". They shave the area of the tattoo and when the hair grows it hides it. My Jack's tattoo was Momma's Boy.
