You have the 2 most important bases covered - name and sex! Maybe you could guilt him with Tucker or Biddy's birthday that he missed! AND use the signs - "Daddy forgot my birthday and all I wanted was a little sister!"

Or, next time they are on his lap, sigh, and say: if we had a third no ones lap would ever be empty!
