Mine doesn't. I don't think they ever get to thaw out completely as my furbabies are non-stop licking on it. I put in them a portion of what they get during their morning meal (mixture of EVO and merrick grandma potpie hard kibble mixed with wet Merrick food) and they love it. And the best part of it all is that they get the same great nutrients because it really isn't made of treats It amazes me how they managed to get to the very end of the kong - it is always cleaned out!
