Rehoming an adult rescue dog (whom all the reasons were layed out, i.e. won't potty train) then it is the new owner's responsibility. It isn't like your friend was breeding them. She tried to help and rescue a dog but months later and still no potty training success, she moved on. I think the new owner should pay for the teeth. It appears the lady was honest that her teeth needed a cleaning. And as someone else pointed out above, how quickly can a human tooth turn from just a cavity into a full blown root canal (which is a HUGE cost). |
