I'm a groomer and have 3 Yorkies. I have found if you will have the puppy hair trimmed off fairly short (tell the groomer #7 blade style)...when the new adult hair comes in...you'll be amazed at how easily kept the coat will be.

Just thought I'd pass along the info.
