This is totally just personal opion here...but I would check the sugar content. If it's regular cheerios (as opposed to honey-nut or whatever) I think you might be ok. But I would recomend you just use normal dog biscuits and break them in half. I also give Iams puppy treats...and they are great b/c they have almost as much nutrition in them as dog food, so that way she won't be filling up on useless calories.
ps. they are cheaper than human food anyhow (the box I bought 6 months ago for $1.99 at Walmart is still more than 1/2 full)
