 False Pregnancy
If on a dogs first heat they have what appears to be a false pregnancy, very swollen breast toward the end of the heat, probably due to hormones because she has not been near a male 200% positive. The swelling starts going back down to normal, she has never ran a fever. Is swelling normal during heat? I know women swell during menstration. Should a dog that does this be considered to be unfit for breeding or is it normal & is not a factor in breeding. |
