Oh yes...I remember that story! I felt so bad for him. I always go outside with my boyz and since they're inside the deck or their fenced area directly off the deck I have pretty good control over things. We took out the metal spindles in the railing and replaced them with cedar lattice and underneath the foot board at the bottom we added another board so they can't squeeze under the railing and get out...we also built a gate at the steps and it has a lock. The front of the deck has about a 4 foot opening out into the yard and that's what we fenced in for the boyz so they have a 12 by 15 area of grass too. Their fence is short though...it's only about 2 feet high...they can't get over it (shhh...they don't know about jumping and climbing!) but something could get in. So, when they go out...so does eagle eye Mom...even in this frigid weather! Brrr!
