I know nothing about Brush Creek so my comments are pointed to irresponsible breeding practices. I think there are two distinct issues being brought up here.

1. what is a breeders responsbility in regards to a sick pup

but more importantly

2. breeding practices that lead to a large percentage of health issues

Ginger came from a not-so-reputable breeder (no, I didn't do my research) and has had many minor (thank god) health issues as have her siblings from the same litter.

My vet (and another) more or less explained to us that a lot of the problems she is having arise when breeders indiscriminately breed dogs without taking into account their history, breed fathers to daughters, brother to sisters, etc...

To me, more important than the 4 or 5 people who are speaking up here is what type of breeding practices is this man employing???

Many health issues can be foreseen when irresponsible breeding practices are employed. Many of those same issues are avoided by responsible practices.

Worms don't come from bad breeding, but hip displasia (sp), allergies, heart disease, etc., do.
