I personally would have been horrified to see this. And as a child, it could scar you for the rest of your life. Children love dogs - to see something they love dead, bleeding, and hanging on a fence would be extremely traumatizing. Even as an adult, if one of my dogs was dead, bleeding, and hanging on a fence I would be very traumatized. The whole story sounds like a horror movie.
Shooting the dog for killing the llamas I could understand - but the rest???? Not so much.
