Caleb does the same thing. He takes the first couple bites of food from the bowl in the kitchen to the carpet in the living room, and he also doesn't like to eat if I'm not standing nearby where he can see me. It's like if something is going to happen, he doesn't want to miss it. He was actually really into eating one day and I tried to sneak away to see if he would notice, and sure enough he came running after me and wouldn't go back to eating until we were in the kitchen again later that night. Too funny, I thought it was just him!
