I have read before about eye color and thought it was a bunch of bull, but now I believe it. You can tell the type of hair type your yorkie has by the color of there eyes when you take a pic. Well it does with my two. When I take a pic's Maddie always had the green eyes and Rudy had the red, at first I thought it was were they were in the pic. My two have completely different type of hair. Maddie is a true silk and here eyes show green in pic's. Rudy had a prettier coat than Maddie but, he has a cotton coat that mats so easy. He has to be combed every day, where Maddie can go for ever and she never mats. Maybe a breeder on the sight could tell us more.
