You can always come up with a downside to wearing a harness or collar with tags, but as far as I am concerned, the advantages far outweigh the disadvantages. If you are concerned about getting hung up on something, there are breakaway collars. Edie chewed her harness when she was young, but she outgrew that....I just kept buying harnesses as she went through them.
Both of my dogs are chipped AND they wear a tag with my cell no. on it....They wear these AT ALL TIMES. I am not taking chances. |
