Microchips are great, but unless the person who finds them takes them into a shelter for a scan, useless.
You hit the nail on the head with this one. Tags/micro chips are only as good as the honesty in the finder. If someone truly is stealing your dog, it doesn't matter.
My dogs don't get to leave the house. We live on acreage so no people walking by. If someone did happen onto our property the Germ. Shep. would never let them near any of the dogs. None of the dogs get to ride in the car with me as I have too many. So no collars, I.D. for me. |
