Yesterday I took Cali to the vet and they took off her cast!
I was so excited when I went to pick her up. Then, when they brought her out the back, she has this big e-collar on.
So, she went from one dumb, awkward thing to the next. I was relieved when the doctor told me to just keep it on her for a day or two. Evidentally, when the cast comes off it is really itchy and they want to keep her from biting and licking at it.
Her leg looks good, not as matted as I thought it was going to be. But it does look a little thiner than the other three, and the hair will comb through pretty okay, alot is coming off. I guess that is what would've shedded had it not been in a splint for 7 weeks. And she won't walk on it too much
, keeps it in the air when she runs, plays, sits. I wonder how long she'll avoid that leg?
