Last night I noticed a red bump over Benji's eye and some red blotches on his chest and ears. I know I need to find out what he is allergic to. I gave him a bath in a cortisone shampoo I got from Fosters & Smith. This seemed to help a little.

The only different thing I am feeding him for the past week is a tsp of Alpo wet food and I noticed that has soy in it. (My older dog can only eat wet food because of a sickness and Benji likes a taste of it in his food) I stopped that. Also, even though my yard is mostly concrete, he did near some bushes/weeds. I will watch that in the future.

My question is, when he does itch can I give him pediatric benadryl? If so, how much would you give a 5 lb dog? Thank you.
