Yes, we had some really bad storms here these past few days. The thunder and wind was scary enough without being under a tornado watch. I've been through a tornado before and there is nothing more frightening then hearing the sound of that siren go off. The winds get to be so bad it is difficult to walk to get to any place safe. The winds are so high, even small objects can become dangerous things. I had a hard time sleeping because I was worried about what I was going to with my Nana and Jaden and Jewelina if something were to happen. We don't have a basement here or anything like that and it's just me and Nana hasn't been feeling well lately so I'd have to find a place to move her where I could by myself. Luckily the storm didn't cause too much damage here. A few trees fell down in our yard and a few houses a few blocks away from us were without power. A friend of mine, her brother was one of the 19 people who died. He was a friend of mine too so it has been a hard hit for all of us. You never think things like this will happen and then they do...Plese continue to keep all of the people affected by these storms in your prayers. Hopefully the worst has now passed and we will not have to deal with anymore tragedies anytime soon. |
