Default Symptom of underlying problem?

I have a more holistic point of view. After talking with Gigi's vet about her stank breath I was annoyed that she strongly suggested Gigi eats her stools. I was annoyed because she's monitored 99.99% of the time. Although we have a fenced yard, there are places she may try to explore outside the backyard. My second reason is the fact that smaller dogs are easier to steal, I speak from experience.

So I began to think about what could possibly cause her horrible breath, even after brushing. Her vet says she doesn't have enough tartar build-up for an 8-mos old to cause it. Then I came across Nzymes.com that stated the following may be caused by Candida

DIGESTIVE SYSTEM

* ( ) Bad Breath
* ( ) Smelly Bowel Movements
* ( ) Indigestion
* ( ) Frequent Episodes of Vomiting/Diarrhea
* ( ) Constipation
* ( ) Malformed Stools
* ( ) Anal Gland Irritation

EARS

* ( ) Increased Discharge
* ( ) Ear Infections
* ( ) Ear Itching

...to name a few. There's a Yeast Infection checklist. I believe in treating the problem not the symptom......I guess that's my 2-cents worth for the day
