Is this a good idea or am i making a mistake. Is it safe for her to be put to sleep and her only 3 lbs. I am so worried, they say at the vet there is nothing to worry about but she is my child and i cant help but worry! Give me some feedback on your guys experiences. thanks so much
I would discuss your concerns with your vet. I haven't had my girls done yet...Sadie is 3yrs old and 6 lbs and I am STILL a nervous wreck to have her done. I know alot of people have had their furbabies spayed/neutered with no problems but, I am with you...I am worried too.
I talked to my vet about how I am so nervous...he told me that after inserting the tube they listen to their heart(with the tube inserted the heart echo's off the tube) it they hear something wrong they won't do the surgery.
Maybe you could ask your vet if he does this..I would ask all the questions of concern that you have,....Don't feel that you are being silly..Have you thought about having her spayed with laser surgery? there is less bleeding, they are under for a shorter time, and quicker healing. It isn't much more than being cut.
