Like someone previously said, I think you need to definately establish your dominance over her, Gina. Lexi thinks she is the pack leader and as the pack leader she feels like she has to protect you. When she hears something, she barks bc this is her defense mechanism. And I agree that she is so small that she gets overwhelmed with the job of trying to protect you and she is anxious and nervous which probably makes her bark more. I honestly feel like a muzzle or a shock collar will only mask the problem temporarily and only frustrate poor Lexi more. You need to get to the root of the problem, which is dominance. |
