If your not sure about the surgery why not just wait a little while until she is a bit older and bigger. I have a petite male (adult weight is 3.4lbs) and I waited to have him fixed as long as I could because he was so tiny. I was scared to death of losing him from complications with anesthesia so I waited until he got a little bigger. He had the surgery done later than normal and was lazy for 1 day and then he was back to his normal self. It didn't even seem to phase him. We thankfully had no problems.
Can you wait with females or do they have to be neutered by a certain age/maturity?
