baby gate

The baby gate is between the door and the screen when we are home, and Pippa has to go in Alyssa's room with the gate when we are not home now. I don't ever want to go through that again! We are also trying to teach her not to run to the door and I think she's getting it. Whenever I go to the door, I look around for her, make eye contact and tell her to "stay back". She gives me that sideways head tilt, as if to say "what's your problem, mom?"

I definetely know what you mean about the springs!! I'm sure she could clear that gate if she wanted, so we will be extra careful.

One funny thing that happened after we found her, we walked the neighborhood and took down the "lost dog" signs, and people would clap and wave at us. Apparently the whole neighborhood was on the lookout for our renagade girl.
